Information for New Patients

Your first appointment at Aberdeen Dental Arts is scheduled as a "new patient examination". Because this will be the first time we see you as a patient, we will need to gather some information about you and your dental health. We ask that you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time so you can complete our patient information form and medical questionnaire. 

Please bring information regarding your dental insurance, any medical conditions you have and any medications you are currently taking. The new patient examination is more extensive than a standard "check-up" and will include an evaluation of all the soft and hard tissues in your mouth. We take radio-graphs and photos to see into and between your teeth, we record all existing dental work and we assess the health of your gums. Please be advised that this appointment will take some time and we may not be able to complete a dental cleaning at this initial appointment. As such, a subsequent appointment to complete your cleaning and polish may be necessary. To schedule a new patient examination with one of our experienced dentists, please contact us.
